It looks like they canceled it after season 6 though. It was supposed to run for 8 seasons. I'm going to have to buy all 8 books now and read them.

But now I'm wondering if the books aren't 10x better than the show, the way Game of Thrones was.
Probably are, usually are if you enjoy world and character building a lot, so much gets cut from books when adapting for TV, and it's even worse for movies.
