Khosrow and Shirin is the story of a brave Persian king named Khosrow who falls in love with a beautiful Armenian princess named Shirin. Although the two are separated by rival cultures and daunting obstacles, they are determined to rescue their star-crossed passion from any consequences.

The story has several variants across different cultures, but in all of them, it tells a powerful tale of love overcoming cultural barriers and societal norms - much like another famous piece of literature you may have heard: William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet".
