The world is a transcendental phenomenon — an intersubjective mental construct constituted/projected by transcendental intersubjectivity, aka ālayavijñāna in Buddhism. The world is karma. We will not change the world unless we change ourselves. We will not defeat the Enemy unless we see that the Enemy is us, and some of us are its intentional agents.
