At the end of 2012 I bought $5k worth of silver and $150 worth of Bitcoin. If I hadn't sold the Bitcoin a few months later it would currently be worth about $500k. The silver is currently worth less than $5k. I bought the literal top of that market and it never recovered. Also I don't even have the silver anymore either. My ex wife took off with it in her safe.
