I still really want to see a better way to meet and reciprocally follow. Just met and followed someone, but he won’t have any practical way to know I did (sure, it’s buried in notifications), so I DM to prompt.

Something like the "share contact" feature on iOS ? You make both phones touch each other and it shares the contact details both ways.
