Anyone know if the Hollywood writer strike is over?
Discussion
Yes , but no sources or details. Say a headline.
Seemingly. But no one's getting what they want.
AI is getting credits now. And half the writers rooms are going to be staffed now. They don't want to pay multiple paychecks anymore
Thanks for the info guys ✨
The question is.. is someone going to go tell all the writing majors? They probably should know.
If you’re studying screenwriting or an aspiring screenwriter you should be reading the trades, learning about the business. The film industry is not one that anyone is going to hold your hand. It’s an industry that actively discourages others from getting involved because it’s a hard way to make a living.
Just a thought, but then maybe universities shouldn’t even offer it as a major or concentration if they want to act in their students’ best interest.
Yes. 99% of WGA members voted to ratify the negotiated contract.
SAG-AFTRA is still striking.
. . . I'm holding out for popcorn rights

Lol
I don’t know whether to be alarmed or happy by this idea
Bigger question…
Does anyone care??
