He's not doing much to deal with the debt, what's been eliminated is mostly jobs, which just leads to higher reliance on unemployment benefits, and a continuing drain on the economy; if anything it's counterproductive. Plus many of those have been hired back because it turns out they are actually necessary, and he has yet to really touch the DOD which is nearly half the budget. If the DOGE really wants to do its job well, they should start with auditing DOGE.

I agree the treatment of the DOD is ridiculous. The idea, though, that DOGE should be audited before any existing govt agency is absurd. Yes the whole thing should be as transparent as possible, but this should apply to every govt agency. Pull back the curtains. Show us every penny being spent. Quit protecting govt workers. They aren't a special class, and no we don't need that vast majority of them. Life will go on just fine if most of them were doing something else. It's a grift.
