This morning, I was finishing up the article the Threshold, which speaks about the end of something, the beginning of something new, and where I speak about relational values—the phases in our lives. I have also been recording the audiobook for my book, The Nature of My Reality.
I was reminded of the virtue I chose for this year—excellence. I’ve been reflecting on how easy it is to focus on the negative, especially when scrolling through social media and seeing a constant stream of fear-based content.
But I shift my energy to a different place. Instead of asking, “Why is this happening? Why is this wrong?” I ask, “How can I respond to this?”
When I share something, it’s because I want to point it out—not to tell you what to think or do. It is an invitation for inquiry and for you to make your own wise decisions based on different information. I’m not here to judge or dictate; I’m simply saying, “Look at this. How does it resonate with you?”
There are definitely things that don’t feel right, and I point to them because, in my process, it helps me work through them.
If something triggers me, I know it’s showing me a place where I can start working on my own response and relationship to it. And that, for me, is the real evolution—transforming how I relate to what’s happening around me, rather than just reacting to it.
Stay tuned for the article dropping over the weekend. I will share a clip of audio from my book!
