Here we get our annual rain in Feb / March, so that happened.
Get the barrels ready. Most of the rainfall comes from the front of our house (no gutters) so gotta transport that…
I built that 2x 55gal system back in 2022. Fun solo project. Collects ~40% of what I use for irrigation.
For the rest (ie from the front yard ) I wheel it in small batches and fill the three+ reservoirs.
Since moving here I’ve added a bed or two every year. I normally trust wing the design and construction, but I do have some plans. As and I’ll post.
This season we have eight raised beds, seven are high enough that I don’t need to bend over too much 🤙🏼
Here’s the pic you missed

So some of those 8 beds have lettuce or herbs from prior years. Another couple in the back don’t get very much sun ☀️ (but we LOVE our trees 🌳 🌲)
For the empty full-sun beds, I planted tomatoes, cukes, zucchini and eggplant that we bought yesterday at the farmers supply store

(Switching between apps to post… #experimenting )
More pics from the prior year’s rollovers:
… and yesterday’s additions:
Finally (for now) I added the tomato trellises. I’ll need more fortifications (and protection from the lord 🙏🏼) to keep the squirrels away.
Thanks for following my #nostrgardn update.
pv 🤙🏼🌱
