Union announces tentative deal for conductors with Amtrak. The agreement with the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation Workers-Transportation Division (SMART-TD) will include a “substantial general wage increase,” the union said on its website, and will be retroactive to July 1, 2022. Other features include substantial paid parental leave; a paid holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day; increased away-from-home expense; and increased training pay.🇺🇸
