If we changed the currency to Monero, or any other crypto instead of Bitcoin, would Ross still get this much admiration from the Bitcoin community for being the founder of Silk Road and getting prosecuted for his alleged crimes?

At that time there was only Bitcoin but today I think Monero should be used... oh, it's already done, Monero have replaced Bitcoin in the DarkNet ^^

Ya I just wonder if the praises are self-serving as Bitcoin was used on his website or maybr the angle is some people here were customers of his and saw their fav online shop closed down and their CEO jailed.
