The founders were right in regard dignity and voluntary being part of society in their original tax system.

So they allowed Congress to impose taxes on transactions, like excises or duties, which people could avoid by not engaging in those transactions.”

Secondly, military service should be voluntary. When the time comes to protect one’s society, you will find those that cherish it will join out of their own volition. They are also the best soldiers.

Most of those will be men, some women. But both men and women will join in the fight with their ideas and support. War requires coordinates effort across all facets, including production, logistics, and the front.
