Yepyep!

Unfortunately many people believe there is an authority on how to meaure bad, and appeal to that authority. Frequently used is the democratic ethic or the technocratic/oligarchic ethic. My supervisor has said "I believe that the [democratic] state is the least bad solution that we have."

But least bad is of course best judged on an individual level, and I found his conviction in statism absurd. He fails to inspect the ideas that come from proclaimed authorities on the matter.
