Duck duck go is usually better than Google for finding alternative information sources on most subjects, but they are clearly in big pharma's pocket just as much as Google.
Discussion
While I may even tend to agree, I important to also consider that perhaps your objection here is that they arenβt feeding your preset confirmation bias on the topic of big pharma and medicine.
There are many experts out there with credentials to validate their statements who are talking about the occurrence of myocarditis after COVID vaccination, and the poor efficacy of those vaccines, but those voices are not represented even in the first ten pages of search results. Only the official narrative that these vaccines are safe, effective, and recommended for everyone.
They Also sell your data to Microsoft so they're not as private as they claim.
Or at least they used to. Did a quick search to double check, and supposedly they amended their terms with Microsoft to exclude the tracking deal that they used to have.

They also downgraded results from sources with 'Russian disinformation'
Duck duck go's comment:
"The primary utility of a search engine is to provide access to accurate information. Disinformation sites that deliberately put out false information to intentionally mislead people directly cut against that utility. Current examples are Russian state-sponsored media sites like RT and Sputnik. It's also important to note that down-ranking is different from censorship. We are simply using the fact that that these sites are engaging in active disinformation campaigns as a ranking signal that the content they produce is of lower quality, just like there are signals for spammy sites and other lower-quality content. In addition to this approach, for newsworthy topics we're also continuing to highlight reputable news coverage and reliable 'instant answers' at the top of our search results where they are seen and clicked the most. We're also in the process of thinking about other types of interventions."
