I don't really understand this chart. You couldn't buy gold in active and properly priced us markets until 71. The market price was fixed. What is this based on? In the early days?

the world is bigger than america. gold has been and continues to be bought and used around the world.

does that help you understand?

Not really, no.

The price of gold was fixed at one rate, and most gold was held by America(75% of the global supply) until 1971. A rate they was used by nearly ever developed country for exchange and trade. You couldn't really just go to your gold guy like you can now. 90% of all gold was custodial until the mid 60s.

Would love to hear your outlook for the rest of the year doc.... ngl with bitcoin so correlated to the nasdaq and with it looking like that is heading lower this year looks like it could be disappointing after coming into the year so well.

Need an update asap lol

Only update us when marker gets more clarity on tariffs. IMHO I believe it’s up only from here w ₿ & ₿ proxies, but I’m a perma ₿ull like nostr:nprofile1qqsp4lsvwn3aw7zwh2f6tcl6249xa6cpj2x3yuu6azaysvncdqywxmgpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejszrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakqn6fyyw . Once further clarity with tariffs and the digital assets working group in August finish laying regulation framework then we’re off to the races

Hope so 🙏🏼

Then again, I have NO IDEA how to price this in 🫣🤣🤣💀

😂

You price that in by buying everything that doesn’t have anything to do directly with the US. Dollar down a lot, treasuries down mightily. Not sure about equities in dollar terms though. Bitcoin up in dollar terms, probably in other currencies too. Gold up up up.

Because, if that actually happens, rest of the world reads it as the US not just exhibiting signs of being akin to an emerging market, but actually becoming one. Though not sure if “emerging” is the right word here. “Submerging” fits better.

The money printing/ inflation obviously would be bullish but the recession itself would (e.g. job loss) would squeeze liquidity.

Do you have an updated forecast? I save in Bitcoin so want to think about how much cash I should have on the sidelines just in case.
