Working on the feed customization UI. How bad is this? This is the advanced view, I'm planning to add a simpler version that is basically just that first box.

It can't be so advanced that you need to read NIPs to use it

Can kinds be human readable? šŸ¤”

šŸ¤ Kind e.g. 12121 etc is not normie friendly. Most people on nostr dont know kinds either.

"Close encounters of the 30023 kind" should be a Nostr-published novel.

Yeah, 100% plan to alias common kinds

shit yeah. let's add another abstraction on top of nips. definitely won't make things confusing. let's call them tapas. "totally awesome proposal abstractions." i think we are on to something here.

Smart lists ??? šŸ‘€

This is exciting. I think the kinds drop down should be type or content type so it makes sense to non technical users. What happens with search? Is it a word or profiles that one selects?

Oh I would also like the ability to filter out by posts per day. I suppose I could do it person by person but I’d rather put all the people i want to follow who post more than 25 times a day in a single feed. That way i can skim the overload and still see posts from everyone else

Interesting, that might be a heavier lift than the abstraction I'm working on can do. But you could farm that out to a DVM

I think it's really useful a mechanism to limit the visualization of notes from users that post a lot, because this permit to surface more different contents. For example I would add an option to group the notes by user and by hour, this should clean a lot the feed.

A lot of nice params to play with!

Maybe the list should be directly accessible, and then have a mechanism (additional options) to transform them in custom feeds.

Let me brainstorm on it and work on the design :)

Let's revamp this old idea
