It was warmer 6000 years ago than it is now. Trees were growing in Canada were it now is ICE and trees were growing at a much higher altitude in the Alps👇

During the Cretaceous, Earth’s climate was much warmer than today, with global temperatures averaging 10–15°C higher. The Cretaceous had almost no polar ice, leading to mild to warm temperate climates even at high latitudes.

Many high elevation trees persisted into the Cenozoic, but became more restricted eventually due to climate cooling.

Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum was peak climate.

No, that was extreme and not really conducive to life support. Lucky for us they quickly realized this and ceased burning fossil fuels, rolled out extensive green initiatives, and switched to electric vehicles or we would be here to tell the tale today!
