So only foreigners can be surveiled?

Ideally, yes.

You do realize those are still invasions of privacy, right? Why should foreigners be subject to their rights being violated if it's not acceptable towards Americans?

They're not American citizens so they don't enjoy the same rights.

How is that complicated to understand?

That's besides the point. It's the slippery slope effect that will be created if REAL ID is mandated for non-citizens. Once the State decides that one group deserves worse treatment than others, then it's only a matter of time until everyone else gets that same treatment.

I'm sympathetic to these sort of arguments...the slope is real and indeed it is slippery.

That said, so called Real ID has not been "mandated". In my observation majority of people are choosing to opt-in to another level of the control gri, once again, out of CONVENIENCE.

US citizens can fly domestically all day long, without additional hassle, by using a passport, or $30 passport card.

US Citizens can also still fly without ID if you're willing to assert your right to travel. Expect much hassle and delay, even missed flights because but feds have made it costly to do so in order to coerce compliance.

I still opt of of the millimeter wave image rape machines and get my free body massage every single time I fly

If you're not doing the same, you got nothing to complain about when it comes to "Real ID".

If everyone opted out of the image rape scanners, they would be gone in a month.

I heard that only 25% of US citizens own a passport and only 25% of those went other countries than Canada and Mexico. Remember that outside of your boarders, you are beimg considered as a foreigner too. People should considered themselves as world citizens or even beyond that IMHO.

"World citizen" is a meaningless term unless you're a staunch advocate of globohomo.

Citizen means slave. The correct term that needs to be used is sovereign.
