Been on Nostr for a few days now. Am i wrong for thinking that everyone will just move here if twitter ever gets compromised? This is the go-to place if the legacy product is corrupted. Just like people with weakening currencies moving to bitcoin.

Yes. It's inevitable. Not is a slow but steady grassroots movement. It can't be stopped, especially as corporations and governments continue to advertise for the protocols needs.
I tend to think so, over time
I would not compare #nostr to X only. it is just the easiest to adapt and therefore the first use case.
In general, nostr is that what the internet was intended to be. No huge centralized Servers and entities.
And it solves the #authentication issue of the #internet as well.
