My strategy (for what it’s worth) after looking around in the States and realizing I would have to overpay for everything (land/materials/labor/insurance/healthcare/etc:

- Establish residency in a growing market where the people have more power than the government (currently Oaxaca, Mexico)

- Purchase land near (but not inside) popular tourist destination with amenities I want

- Build using my hands and volunteers when possible… vision on future of quality homestead with like minded permaculture/bitcoin community

- Once community is established, will try for a second location/residency (next is El Salvador)
