Tokitae, the beloved #orca known as Lolita, dies after spending 57 years in #captivity at the #Miami #Seaquarium. She inspired activists and the #Lummi tribe, who considered her #family, and plans were underway to return her to her home waters. Despite facing challenges in a small tank, she persevered as the oldest orca in captivity and leaves behind her L-pod relatives out in the waters of the Pacific.
