To duck or not to duck? That is my debate today.

This was from a run of 12 Pekins I did 2 years ago. Moved daily in an A-frame tractor with a slightly longer time frame than that of chickens.

From my experience, plucking duck feathers is not exactly enjoyable but we do really enjoy the meat. The yield can also be a bit deceiving as they have larger frames but a much flatter breast and minimal meat on the legs/wings.

We do love duck eggs thanks to #[0]​ always talking about them so at the least we’ll probably pick up some layers. #homesteading #ducks #livestock #grownostr
