I see a lot of fake news and conspiracy theories on Nostr. I want to respond to all of them to explain why they’re maybe wrong, (or maybe to realize that I’m wrong) but I don’t have the time.
It’s really frustrating how writing some fake bullshit takes like 2 minutes, but explaining why it’s wrong with sourced and verified information can take 20 minutes.
Let’s remember that we can all be wrong sometimes.
Let’s remember to verify all information.
Let’s remember to consider others’ points of view.
So even if it takes me 20 minutes to debunk the nonsense someone wrote in 2 minutes, and even if they won’t change their mind, I won’t give up, because we fight misinformation with good information, not with censorship or violence.
