Talking to normies brings me to this conclusion: Humans are way more similar to LLMs than they think. Unless they have applied thought, logic and reason to everything they know about (not efficient), most of the time they are simply generating text based on information and opinions they allowed into their brain from elsewhere.
This reminds me of E. M. Forster’s immortal quip - “How do I know what I think until I see what I say?”
