I bet not too many of you can say you've melted a thumbnail. (Add in the nail of your thumb, not a small version of a larger digital photo.) 😂 Being a welder sucks sometimes, but I still love it.

Didn't know thumbnails could melt! So is it just a burnt blob on your finger now or it fell off?

Everything can melt... Though I guess some things also just sublimate. The tip of it was subsumed in the blob of the glove I was wearing. It's annoying in that is just painful enough to turn my mind to it, which is irksome when trying to do very precise welds.
