What’s the worst bitcoin boating accident you’ve ever experienced? I got rugged by a fake mixing service once. Luckily it was only a small test amount of sats. Still hurt though.

Put in a lightning node, failed to do channel backup, power outage and lost docker volume = RIP
Created a hidden wallet with my trezor and then couldn’t recover it with the secret recovery phrase. Absolutely positive I wrote the phrase down correctly but everything went poof 🤷♂️
I preordered a book from Konsensus that I don't think is getting made.
Buddy of mine told me that Bitcoin was the future and he had a guy who could help me make more money off of it. Didn't really give a lot of thought to it, felt scammy. He got his initial investment back and still had "some left over".
Bought .3 Bitcoin in April/May 2020 ($2000) and sent it to this guy. As soon as he set my "account" up, I knew I had been scammed.
Thank God, it put Bitcoin on my radar, after I saw the price in October and it was 3x, I started studying hard core and was all in by February
