Before the Internet, life was just swell. The options available for information input were limited, and so people spent less time consuming information and more time interacting with their environment (e.g. playing outside, or working on something physical). Now we are all addicted to the information, as it takes much less effort to get a 'bump' than actually doing things does. Now all of this sitting and staring all day long is killing us. OK I can't speak for you. It is killing me.
