You know an "All Staff" meeting is going to go well when the first slide mentions re-orgs and layoffs.

My company is cutting 10% and we were told 2 months in advance but won’t know who until end of month. 😱😱🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
That's absolutely horrible.
What’s worst is that we had an all hands call with out VP a couple of weeks ago. People could ask anonymous questions and obviously someone asked about layoffs coming. The question was something like “will our department be impacted and should we worry about our jobs”.
The VP responded something along the lines of “all department will be impacted so yes you should worry about your job. It could impact anyone. But it won’t impact me because I got a phone call that I was not going to be impacted. I was worried too like you all are but I’m not worried anymore because I’m going to be ok. But yes you should worry”.
Obviously not his exact words but still!
They're hoping you'll make the decision easier (and reduce unemployment insurance) by quitting.
