Did you also consider the option of selling your heat to your neighboors when they want? You could charge for it, every month and when they want to turn it off, they close their air vent.

Where on it does the heat exhaust out of? Asking from a safety perspective of having a baby/toddler crawling and walking around.

The level of heat output is dependent on how many watts you're running the miner at.
I don't think it would get to the point of being too hot to touch as long as it's quiet enough to be tolerable in the same room
What’s the noise situation with that ? Did you manage to reduce it enough to make it viable ?
It's quieter than my regular space heater I use in my office! With the fans changed out and the power ramped down it works like a charm.
