Fraternal orders have been treated like that by Hollywood and the media in an attempt to eradicate them. Much like they’ve done with the word anarchy.

Fraternal orders use to be the local safety net. The Welfare State had to eliminate their competitors.

Now that Western democratic welfare states are collapsing under the weight of their corrupt, inefficient systems, it’s time to bring back local, decentralized networks that actually know what’s needed at the local/community level

You’re speaking to my soul man.

My knee jerk reaction when Max sent me his articles about the Grey Robes was exactly the same as yours, so I get where you’re coming from

But look at what they actually are planning to teach

Feel free to DM me or nostr:npub1qktts9naunvjdwsktq5xjdhwh539xt4x0mqj4yxq0q9dvm03ljvs6sms0r for details

I did check out the link.

I love the idea but there are way way way too many red flags for me to give a shit about this guy. Too much sex talk, for one.

Looks like a rather Godless take on decentralized hedonism rather than a true freedom movement.

Sex was mentioned once

Here’s an excerpt for context to anyone reading this thread: “The Elemental Drives are named such not just because they are in some sense basic but also because they are symbolized by the four ancient elements: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. These elements are created through an alchemy that crosses masculine and feminine forces with the drives of sex and death. And freedom, we learn, is feminine.”

What were the other “red flags”? I’m not trying to be argumentative, I’m trying to figure out what you’re seeing that maybe I’m missing.

As a question opens her legs to an answer, the pair begets more questions and answers that beget yet more questions and answers

I think this is pointing more to how questions and answers replicate to create even more questions and answers, as men and women come together and create more men and women

I think you came into it with a preconceived notion and then found things that supported your theory

I’m going into it with an open mind, but I’ll be the to call it out as a cult if that’s what it is

It’s all online so it’s not like they have you trapped in a sex dungeon! 🤣

lol, it’s a culture thing. He’s looking for people from a different culture. And that’s ok. It’s clearly not for me.

I think you'd like the free masons more. I am godless and the masons require that you believe in an architect of the universe.

The grey robes sound much more wiccan

Honestly, churches fulfill this role. But outside that, a libertarian/life, liberty, and property brotherhood sounds appealing…leave the eternal out of it.
