What you fail to acknowledge is that hamas and their backers planned for this, they engineered the situation for maximum human casualties. Listen to what they themselves say, over and over: that they love death, they really believe in martyrdom, and they would carry out the atrocities of Oct. 7th again if they could. So they keep attacking and running into crowded areas, knowing there will be retaliation and the death of innocents, which they use in the media to recruit useful idiots like yourself, utterly morally confused about who started the war, and who continues to wage it.

I have no religious affiliation and don’t even know what some of those terms mean. I also have no connection to Israel other than sharing their western liberal democratic values. I stand on the side of civilization, not theocratic fascism and medieval barbarism.

You have so much hostility and criticism of Israel, but what is your solution to the conflict? How should they respond to the dual genocidal-suicidal threat they face? Should Israel just accept that missiles are randomly going to reign down on their neighborhoods, and live under the threat of another Oct. 7th?

I don’t think they should. IMO, they have a responsibility to achieve security for their people. The war is awful and I wish it would stop, but these lunatics keep attacking and issuing threats, and refuse to disarm. All the while, claiming to love death. So WTF do you expect Israel to do??

While you ponder your answer, imagine that your daughter was among those gang raped and mutilated to death on October 7. Or your son held hostage by the people who did that, for years in Gaza, his body still not recovered. Or your grandparents burned alive in their home.
