You're talking about Australia?
We've already de-industrialised to the point we are, in economic complexity, sandwiched between Uganda and Burkina Faso.
If we de-industrialise any further, we'll have load shedding, and Mrs Middleclass won't be able to watch Love Island on her 85" TV (paid for by madly printing debt and visas).
And that would be terrible.
I support green energy if it is evidence-based, and won't kill more (directly or through poverty) than other options.

I'm afraid so...
Don't worry, I don't think labour will be in power much longer. They are already backpedaling on some of their policies such as the misinformation bill 🤡
Thank goodness.
Unfortunately, Liberal and National love "accreditation", "approval" and "permitting process" as much or more than Labor does. (Nationals definitely more.)
Its thanks to the last Liberal federal govt that it is unlawful for a me to own a manual on my hybrid car's electrical system. Only an "accredited repairer" of hybrids can possess such dangerous secrets that man Was Not Meant To Know. We are the only country with this restriction, which is why the manuals are available online as long as you don't use an AU ip address.
The Devil can take all our major parties...
Check out the Libertarian Party. I think they'll get quite a few votes next election
Yup. Liberal Democrats were administratively de-registered federally, but they're good too. As is Reason, if anyone wants a libertarian party from the other side of the culture wars.
All three are getting my preferences above any major party. Probably Shooters, Fishers and Farmers, too.
