Saint Andrew, brother of Peter, was called first by Jesus. A fisherman, he left everything to follow Christ. Andrew brought his brother to meet Jesus, saying, "We have found the Messiah." He preached the Gospel throughout Scythia, modern-day Romania and Ukraine, and was crucified in Patras, Greece, on an X-shaped cross.

Let us pray to Saint Andrew, that his apostolic zeal inspires us to share our faith and bring others to Christ. May his intercessions strengthen our missionary spirit.
