currently sitting here trying to work out how airport signage people think.
when i landed at Oslo Airport today, i got confused, because a sign said the following:
English: "Gates"
Norwegian: "Exit"
me: *walks toward Exit*
sign there: "Transfer"
hm no, i want to get out of the airport. i'm not on connecting flights.
i also don't have checked-in baggage, so i just want to leave.
eventually, i realised that i'd have to walk toward the baggage collection area, despite having no checked-in baggage.
later, the signs said walk to the exit. but at that point, it was too late to be useful.
why the fuck did they translate "gates" (where you board the plane) as "utgang" (Exit)? what the hell?
