Those in power and influence are to be compelled to abstain from this probe of abuse of powers, by law and punishment where possible, but as with all other tyrannical impositions, by any pushback and punishment, at least in proportion to the degree of excess being engaged in, to punish and to deter other would-be tyrants.
Discussion
Would that it were that some higher power compelled the ruling class. Sometimes, I foolishly believe that I myself am compelled by that higher power when I act in accordance with the laws I establish and the punishments I deliver.
I cannot speak on the behalf of any higher power, only on the necessity of curbing fledgling tyrants before they wreak havoc upon human society.
