Well actually, there is one difference. Communist regimes are not known to engage in expansive abusive enslaving colonialism.
Democratic Socialisms - are. No matter how strong the socialism factor is expressed. If there is a drop of socialism in the democracy, it is an expanding immoral preditor. And sure, there are no democracies unstained with socialism. Why would sane people engage in insanity.
Didn't the USSR expand? Didn't China expand?
I don't think communist China ever expanded. Chinese lands, such as Tibet, do not count, because they are chinese.
Soviet Union did not expand beyond the lands historically ruled by russians in any significant way. And the only time they expanded at all was the wars which they did not initiate and were not the masterminds of. And even when they did expand, they did it fair and square bringing exactly, and I mean exactly the same "welfare" they had at home to the new territories. They did not enslave, suck out the wealth and abuse those territories. In fact, many annexed territories lived better than russian.
While if you look at europeans and north americans - they have latest iphones while their unofficial colonies in south america, africa and asia - don't. And as I am aware, this is not the only advantage they have over the lands they abuse 😉.
Basically the difference is that commies are dumb and mostly honest, while democrats and socialists are mostly dumb and dishonest.
It would be better to study a little before speaking, because communism is a final stage and socialism a temporary stage. Besides that communism does not have a government that commands the people, but rather formed of small communes that divide for the organization of the community without a government. So this image is comparing two incomparable things.
