I believe it will remain functional but no more updates.
It reads to me they are just no longer in the App Store and likely less support but not fully shutdown.
Not true. I’m still trying to help some friends get theirs out and several payments are showing as “queued.”

How large are the payments? I think you’ll have more luck doing a few smaller txns than one big one

We can vpn or proxy to another country to pull sats out of the wallet easy. Once I excluded the US as an exit node and rerouted i got access back.
I've had no problems sending payments but since the app is no longer available in the store, US residents should indeed move their coins elsewhere. If they lose their phone and have to re-download the app, well now they have a problem.
No rugpull, just technical degradation.
