The amount of people’s net worth that is in Real estate is the most interesting thing to me right now. Feels a little like a ponzi. Especially if population growth slows or reverses, how does most real estate hold value?

Land. The value of the land is usually worth more than what’s on it in most places. It’s a resource we aren’t getting more of.

True, I guess as long as money is printed, scarce things increase to some degree no matter what

But in bitcoin terms I think land and real estate drops consistently for 10 years

I think it will depend largely on where the land is, assuming we are still using this shitty economic model. If the system fails, land won’t fucking matter

It generally doesn't and pops

We're overdue for a correction

The number of people thinking real estate investing is a great idea always baffled me, because it doesn't follow economic sense. All it did was make homes overpriced because so many people thought real estate would make them rich.

It'll drop. The big corps will buy it up. I don't know who else could afford it after that though. It might not drop far after the big guys buy it, since then they won't sell and will just charge rent forever. This is assuming a regional monopoly. I don't know the distribution pattern for real estate though
