Oooh man. I’ll bet that’s a copperhead. I wonder if there is a barrier you could put around your garden to keep them out.
My garden cat found this in the garden last night. I am even less enthusiastic about weeding than I was before...if that is possible.

It is indeed a copperhead. We have lots of them here. They just aren't usually in my garden, 12' from my back door. Aside from building a giant air locked bubble, there isn't anything to keep them out. You just have to keep your eyes WIDE open. 😳
