I remember reading it but I didn’t share the same pessimistic outlook. Nostr is already great for the world described in this essay but I think people are generally missing the point. Everyone wants to verify humanity but I think we have to take a 180 view on this - not verify anyone. Instead of fighting content bots, just embrace them. If you don’t like the content, mute it. It’ll be super obvious who is a person and who isn’t if you observer their behavior long enough. And if it’s not and you can’t tell the difference, then why does it matter? If they are behaving how you’d expect a human to behave then why should you care if they are not human? Are you going to meet up with them irl? Probably not - you can’t. Just enjoy the bots presence.

Naturally, humans will elevate their relationship to physical interactions and real conversations- not that surface level garbage. If anything, the ai forest is doing is a huge service and we should be thankful for it.
