Regarding depegs, the BTCE fund, backed by physical bitcoins, has depegged from its intrinsic value. You could theoretically buy that, then ask to convert to bitcoin and receive more corn. A lot of details and friction in the process, but clearly a signal of a crack in the plumbing of TradFi's approach to cryptos.
