When I stayed in Korea for a bit we went to a gym in the building and it gameified cardio.
All the treadmills and bikes were hooked up to their app where you scan in to get the machine started and it would track your progress. And put up how many km you have done on the screen and you could actively compete with other people on the machines. If you did 2k, 4k, and 8k you'd get a certain amount of points a day which you could redeem for protein shakes or drinks at the front desk. I have never done so much cardio before 😂
Oh and if the whole gym reached a goal at the end of the month everyone who participated/got a badge could get a banana or some kind of treat. I miss that gym.
