The infringement on people's right to have a voice was a shitty move, yet I have a feeling in the back of my head that some (dunno if most or few) of the protester acted on a social media withdrawal, social media can be one hell of a drug. Anyways, I'll go back to social media and other addictive drugs.

Sorry I was extremely vague. This was in reference to not only the leader of their army NOT just taking over and actually supporting the youth. They told the protestors/groups to bring a representative to discuss stuff and they choose a 70 year old lady who was on their supreme court, I think, and an independent.
Oh and they held their polls/elections of their representative, on discord.
This is my understanding.
Elections on discord is really wild for a ~30 million people country. And on discord, I hate discord (shameless subjectivity 😁). Thanks for the info.
