The other day I marked as read / archived all of my email. Now I'm going through and unsubscribing from anyone that sends me an email. (unless I find it useful) I like to do this periodically to cut down on the email I get.

I like to cancel my credit card every year to absolve myself of all the leaches that are bleeding me unbeknownst.
I did something a bit like this a few months ago. I got laid off so I no longer had direct deposit going to one of my debit cards. For a bit there, I kept getting notices that automated charges were failing. I transferred the ones I cared about and the others gave up eventually.
