Yeah I credit my Dad with my current comfort level with being in the bush at night. We didn’t have much in the way of predators back home, but I still don’t mind coming back after dark if I am armed and have a headlamp so I can gain advantage. PS the last pic is just a gag pic my Dad sent me that he cut out from an old Outdoor Life mag lol.

holy smokes dude your dad was a legend. amazing pics!

Yes I was pretty lucky to have such an outdoorsman to hang out with. That Walker and Blue Tick yielded a litter of 9 puppies that ended up being shipped all over the country, some as far as BC to run cougars.

Almost every raccoon we harvested was shot with an old Cooey .22 that my Dad still owns.

He is now 78 years old, still a few years left in him. I’ll always remember him as the hunter in the Paul Calle print they bought when we were hunting a lot. It still hangs in his office.

I need another blue tick in my life. We still have all the .22s we used. Sacred treasure at this point, I still hunt with em. These photos are amazing man thanks for sharing!

Cool to touch base with someone who shares some of the same upbringing. Hopefully I’ll run into you at a conference one day. Till then keep rolling BJJ and don’t wreck yourself on your bike 🤙🏽

absolutely, anytime brotha 🤙
