Of course, the EU sabotaged the European automotive industry with its policy to transition to electric cars by 2030. German car manufacturers have a strong competitive advantage in gas-powered cars but they are lagging in electric cars and won’t be able to catch-up. These policies have likely been lobbied by Chinese interests.

If the real goal was to reduced carbon emissions, they should have forced a CO2 reduction objective, as opposed to force a technological « solution ».
