Stepped away from whatsapp completly two years ago and told friends & family & wprking groups that i don't wanna force anyone to switch over but signal will be the only broader known messenger i will use from now on.

A lot of resistance met but slowly more people installed it and also some groups followed.

Can't force people to leave it behind. Can only try to set an example by your own conduct in my point of view.
