Bitcoin is more akin to shares in ford company than buying a model-T. This doesn't mean that it is immune from disruption by a more initiative competitor. However, without intellectual property protection, disruptors don't have a very large advantage. They rely on an ignorant majority of shareholders in their competition resisting change for too long.
