Years ago an old man told me oil didn't come from dead things. I said "where does it come from?" He said he didn't know but thought it was generated by the earth somewhere.

A year ago I was talking to a man who worked in oil extraction and he said the same thing. That old oil wells would mysteriously refill after 20 or so years.

It kinda blew my mind that so many people believed this.

Nice to hear they might be right.
