All in all I agree, and I’m excited about Nostr’s potential. It’s already blown me away. Value 4 value fits well with my personality and values, and I believe it results in more authentic experiences for everyone. I think of what you talked about as being similar to a job. Work policies (the algo) can change, or your boss can fire you (deplatformed). Always a risk of losing your income, no matter the source. My wife experienced that earlier this year when her company abruptly let her go and our family had to make some major adjustments during her transition to something else. For people who rely heavily on digital platforms for their income, I can understand their reluctance to make the shift to a new paradigm unless they absolutely have to.

With the following that you have here, you could be earning a couple hundred a month. As nostr grows, that could turn into more.
But you have to be willing to accept payment for promoting things to your audience. Sometimes it is for things you would have done anyway.
